The General Meeting of the Fifth Session Council of Zhejiang Membrane Society was held in Hangzhou

On May 16, 2014, The General Meeting of the Fif^th Session Council of Zhejiang Province Membrane Society was held in Hangzhou. Mr. Lou Songping, the investigator of the Society Department of Zhejiang Province Science & technology Association, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was presided by Prof. Zhu Baoku, vice director of the Engineering Center, the Education Department of Membrane and Water Treatment Technology, Zhejiang University. The experts, professors, the leading persons of membrane technologies in the industry, and the persons of outstanding ability in the industry from Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology Development Center, Zhejiang University, Ningbo University, Zhejiang University of Technology etc, many colleges and universities attended the meeting.

The meeting examined and passed “Working Report of the 4^th Council of Zhejiang Province Membrane Society”, “ Report on Financial Incomes and Expenditures of the 4^th Council of Zhejiang Province Membrane Society”, election methods of the society’s 5^th Council, and membership dues and managerial method of the society. The meeting voted and passed a name list of the standing council of the 5^th Council of the society, chairman, vice chairman, chief secretary etc., totally 28 persons were elected as the director of the 5^th Council of Zhejiang Province Membrane Society, Prof. Gao Congjie, the member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, was appointed as honorary chairman, Profs. Chen Huanlin and Xu Youyi were appointed as honorary directors, and the Zheng Genjiang, the director of Hangzhou Water Treatment Technology Development Center, was elected as the chairman of 5^th Council.

Mr. Xu Zhikang and Mr. Zhu Baoku of Zhejiang University etc. experts and professors actively carried out exchanges of membrane technologies and discussion of the latest topics, meanwhile, integrating the discussion of “Working Key Points of Chinese Association of Science and Technology in 2014 ”, the meeting determined the society’s working planning and main tasks in the near future.
